Dr.Osama Muthaffar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University in 2006/2007. He was then appointed as a faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.
Dr.Osama Muthaffar worked in King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh and obtained the Saudi Board of Pediatric Neurology in 2013. He did his Epilepsy Clinical Fellowship in the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. He is a certified electroencephalographer by the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists and certified by the British Pediatric Neurology Association.
Dr.Osama Muthaffar has many scientific publications in international journals as well as multiple participations in local and international pediatric neurology and epilepsy conferences.
He is a member in the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (CSCN), the Canadian League Against Epilepsy (CLAE), the American Epilepsy Society (AES) and the Saudi Epilepsy Society.
Dr.Osama Muthaffar received multiple awards from the Saudi Cultural Bureau in Canada.
He is currently an assistant professor and consultant of Pediatric Neurology, Epilepsy and Electroencephalography at King Abdulaziz University.
